Tip: Users of Dell Dimension XPS R computers can add up
to 768 MB of RAM. Click here
to order
that part, it will say XPS T series,
but it's the right memory for the R series also.
Tip: Users of the XPS R and T
can use a PC133 256mb module instead of the recommend PC100
module. This results in a savings of between 15 and
20% depending upon current prices. Click
here to order that part.
Tip: Users of the Inspiron 2600 or 2650 can replace both sticks of memory. The 2600 can take 1GB
in total, 2 512mb sticks. Click
here to order that part.
It has been reported by users that they have been successful
in running the 2650 with two 512mb sticks, but due to
several users NOT having success in doing so I do NOT
recommend that you do this (7/15/03).
Tip: Users of the Inspiron 3800, 4000, 5000, 7000,
7500 and 8000 and many Latitude models can install 2 sticks of
256mb memory, and can use PC133 memory.
And the 7000 can use three 256mb modules for a total of 768mb! Click
here to order
this stick that fits all of these systems.
This is approximately a 39% ($39.00) savings over the PC100 stick (as
of 5/26/05). Unsure if your
computer can use this memory? Send me an email (see
link below) and ask.
Tip: Users of the Dimension 2300
or 4300 use
PC133 memory. 1gb max (not 512 like the book says for the 4300),
two slots. For the 512mb sticks, click
here. For
other sticks, use the selector below.
